I would be so annoyed. I lose respect for people like that, and I can't be around people that I don't respect.

If she is someone that has to be in your life, I would totally be open with her. I would tell her that you two are a lot alike (in that you are dealing with children who have special needs), you've found a lot of helpful info. online, and that you take personal offense to her asking for hot tub money. That's just me, though.

Also, as you said, no child should be in a hot tub. They could burn!

It comes off like a selfish act with no real rhyme or reason, and that is just from my outside perspective.

It seems like her priorities are not in the right place, and you did what I would have done. I would absolutely have declined the offer to join that group.

Hey lady- I may not read blogs on the weekend (mainly b/c I am a workaholic as my husband said to me on Sunday), but I sure to read your blog on Tuesday!

I think a few weeks off with your family will do wonders!! Especially for your sanity!

Make sure you keep those pom-pom's close by- you're the greatest cheerleader Jillian will ever have. Remind me to tell you the story of my friend's twin with CP the next time we are talking- its inspiring
